Hi everyone,

I think that even though reg_system.cgi is a very nice software, some things could be added to its functionalities. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in sharing the costs of re-writing the client code. I have come together with a nice progamming company who can do it for us for a very reasonable price. Here are a few ideas that could be implemented:

- functionalities for handling the user database
    - storing client info on our side
    - capabilities of sending direct-email to our clients
    - connection IF to billing
    - additional services database fields (like user xxx registered zzz.com, but he also ordered hosting for $19.95/month)
- new whois functionalities
    - like at register.com: if one tries to register bigusdicus.com, the script also offers ebigusdicus.com, aboutbigusdicus.com, bigusdicusnetwork.com, etc.
- more flexible template system
    - storing messages in a separate file (very good for localization)
    - capability to change error-pages
- global changes
    - there are some annoying little things that we would all like to change or modify
    - having the same code and OpenSRS account, but different user interfaces (you can have multiple sites with different offers, pricing, value added services, etc.)

+ lots of other we can work out together.

If anyone interested, please email me private. I would pay these guys to make write a new version for me anyway, but it would be nice to have at least two other resellers - all of your ideas are welcomed.

- Csongor
