I'll assume from your offlist reply that support to existing customers
is something that the buyer has to undertake as part of the deal
(customer they have received no revenue from to offset the cost).
So anyone considering it should take the cost of providing that support
to the existing install base into account.
Offer still stands to start an open source project at sourceforge based
on their code to begin incorporating the features in the non-open source
version. Any interest?
