I registered the domain name dnsservice.co.uk as a white label DNS
Service I planned to set up.
Having looked at the OpenSRS offering I do not feel that it is a "good"
offering, primarily as a) zone settings for TTL etc are not configurable
b) it is not a true white label solution and clearly identifies Tucows
as the provider c) it is not globally distributed as all the DNS servers
are in Canada
If anyone is interested in joining up with me in providing such a
service I am looking for three other DNS servers to run the service on.
I will provide one DNS server in the UK and would like one in Europe
outside of the UK one in the US and one in Canada.
I have not decided on any further details such as which existing
database solution to use or whether to have one written.
