Real-time credit card processing with OpenSRS

I would like to be able to allow my customers the ability to make
purchases in real-time with their credit card with the reg_system.cgi (or
a customized version of it.) Unfortunately, I have no experience with
perl, and in looking through the reg_system.cgi script, I find myself
completely confused.

I am using Authorize.net as my gateway, which is easy enough to setup, but
I don't know how I would logically go about capturing the needed info
(such as address, phone, name, CC number, and exp. date) from part of the
reg_system.cgi script, while once completed, sending all the information
to OpenSRS.

Also, from what I have seen, the reg_system.cgi script takes your credit
card number, but it doesn't store it anywhere, so even if I were willing
to enter credit cards manually, I don't have access to the number. I
would expect them to at least show up on the OpenSRS admin website.

Can someone please point me in the direction that I need to go to get
the system working with my Authorize.net gateway, or better yet, if
someone is using authorize.net and have modified the scripts already,
could you send them to me so I can see what needs to be done (or let me
know if they will be released under GPL)....

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
