RE: Registration System

reg_system.cgi uses SEND_COMMAND sw_register.
register.cgi uses SEND_COMMAND register_domain.

And...

If you make changes in manage.cgi, they are not reflected in
https://horizon.opensrs.net/~vpop/resellers/ and vice versa.

Also, I hope the OpenSRS development tream is reading this.

Currently, via reg_system.cgi we can set an option to "process orders
immediately". However this is an all or nothing option. It would be very
useful if we could specify this on a per order basis.

Our CC processing system does an AVS (addresss verification) check which
returns one of several options. These include "address matches", "partial
match", "nothing matches", "bank does not support avs", etc.

We would like to be able to flag, for example the "address matches" as
process orders immediately and "bank does not support avs" or "partial
match" as hold for manual processing. We would not submit the "nothing
matches" orders to OpenSRS, instead we would immediately notify the customer
for corrections.

If it is not possible to add a per order flag, we will probably end up
storing the information in our own database and once we have had a chance to
verify it, we would submit it via a custom script to OpenSRS.

I see with the reg_system.cgi it stores all the information into a database
to await approval if we as the reseller choose. Is there a way to have
all the registrations completed though register.cgi be stored in a similar
database?

We as registrants need some way to lookup and modify domains which have been
registered though our sites. The way I see it now, if we were to pass
values though the register.cgi, the domain would be automatically registered
and there is no way to track the domain once its been entered.

On the other hand if we used the reg_system.cgi it would give us the ability
to track and administer the orders. However, it removed the ability to
assign different name servers and technical information for the
registration.

Is there a way to have one of the scripts modified?
