Try modifying reg_system.cgi to add the following line near the top:
use Socket;

- I have upgraded to the new opensrs-client-pre2.0-1.9.9
- recompiled Digest-MD5-2.09 (perl Makefile.PL,make, make install)
- recompiled Crypt-DES-1.01 (perl Makefile.PL,make, make install)

but when I try to get past reg_system.cgi
(Enter Domain Name to Search For: blahblah.com )
I get the following error:
Registration Error
The error which occurred was:
Unable to establish socket
Any immediate ideas?
