Dear Jeremy,
The Support FAQ has been updated to reflect what's in the README for the
new client (v.2.0.1):
http://www.opensrs.org/Support_FAQ.shtml#Client script requirements
3. Perl modules, downloaded separately from CPAN
http://search.cpan.org/
Specifically, you need the Perl module Digest::MD5, and either Crypt::DES
or Crypt::Blowfish. Blowfish is a faster and more cryptographically
secure algorithim, but DES is still supported for backward compatibility
with older versions of the client code.
Note: We are now including Crypt::CBC in our client distribution to remove
confusion as to version requirements, etc. We have updated our encryption
code to be fully compatible with the lastest Crypt::CBC at this time,
v.1.23. Because this client distribution includes Crypt::CBC, you will be
able to run it simultaneously with older client releases which depend on
Crypt::CBC 1.20.
Also note that you do not need Crypt::IDEA. It is an optional module which
Crypt::CBC can link against, but it is not used by OpenSRS.
Cheers,
William Porquet, MA TUCOWS/OpenSRS Tech Ops
