I've had no problems going back and forth between DES encryption and
Blowfish encryption.
Ensure you have the modules installed correctly, you'll need Crypt::CBC
v1.22 or higher for Blowfish to work right (it's in the Blowfish docs as
such). Also, when you have your crypt key, make sure the ENTIRE line in
OpenSRS.conf is unbroken (this happens with some editors that like to wrap
the line), and that there's no leading or trailing spaces between the
crypt key and the "...".
I have successfully done this on Linux and Solaris 7, so this 'should' be
working. If you need further 'nitty-gritty' assistance, please email
support@opensrs.org with the OS, your username, versions of the modules
you're using, version of the client code, and other information that you
may feel is pertinent to solving this problem.
