Hi,

I have not tried it on a RaQ3 however I do know quite a bit about the
units.

Create a new virtual site (confirming the CGI access is enabled here).
Also note when creating the host their is an field for host and domain,
you generally enter 'www' in the host, and 'mysite.com' for the domain,
to setup www.mysite.com.

Go into the maintainence for the virtual site (green spanner next to the
sitename on the 'Server Management' screen).

Create a site administrator user (with the create user, confirming site
admin option is enabled).

Once you have got this far, the basic details for CGI use on a Cobalt is
that you can put the CGIs in any part of the published website directory
tree providing you ensure the file extensions are .cgi or .pl and they
are marked executable.

The only word of warning with the FTP is that when you FTP as a 'Site
Admin' user FTP to the IP address of the virtual site (since I'm not
sure if you virtual host by IP or by name at the moment) using the
username and password of that user you just added above. When you login
you should be in a directory like "/users/username" you need to CHANGE
directory to "/web" please note this is a completely different directory
to "/users/username/web" which also exists.

You full working patch (to edit the OpenSRS client configs is something
like): "/home/sites/www.mysite.com/web"
replacing www.mysite.com with the hostname of the virtual site. This
corresponds to the FTP "/web" as a site administrator user.

Regards,
