RE: how does the processing of reg_system.cgi?

Got this from FAQ http://www.opensrs.org/Support_FAQ.txt Hope it helps.
The CGI script reg_system.cgi is intended as an example script for
integrating with an existing public Web page. This is why it has code
"hooks" for integrating credit card validation and the like. There are no
places to enter DNS servers, since this is assumed to be a default value
for all of the RSP's registrations (i.e. they would have default DNS
servers for their customers).

The CGI script register.cgi is intended to be an example script for an
in-house registration system, since it doesn't have hooks for credit card
info but allows name servers to be defined. The register.cgi script is a
raw registration script, and it doesn't interact with the accounting and
statistics features of the Web interface.

The scripts are Open Source and are intended to be modified to suit your
needs or to serve as example code as needed.

Do orders which processed by "register.cgi" get included in the statistics?
No. The statistics are generated by the use of reg_system.cgi. The reason
for register.cgi's existence is to give you a guide for implementing your
own internal systems which should consist of any reporting you might
need. We do track all domains you order, regardless of which method you
use but only those via reg_system.cgi have lookup and other statistics
 included.
Is there a way to perform bulk orders using the reg_system.cgi script?
 Yes.

  <your URL here>/reg_system.cgi?action=bulk_order

Look through the code in reg_system.cgi and the developer required
reading list for more details on passing commands to the scripts.

I think all you need to do is set up you database and do it ... I don't know
how you want people to pay you ... but it really doesn't matter if you want
to just sell them units, credits, or whatever you want to call them,
(pen-code numbers) and they use those up (as they match up) from their
"user", "affiliate", "reseller", or whatever you want to call them and their
account. Just make sure you keep everything secure ... let me know if you
have any access/secure ... database questions .... We plan on getting around
to the same thing your doing one of these days ... maybe. God willing of
course.

Subject: how does the processing of reg_system.cgi?

Hello again everyone....

I just wonder how does the processing of reg_sysem.cgi? Does the domain
process automatically, or we should use the register.cgi to submit the
domain? or we do nothing (so what does the register.cgi for if we do
nothing?).....
I hope everyone here could give me the information...because i would like to
add the script, which is the process is like the opensrs RCU... registrant
could pay and buy units/points before they exactly but the domains...and i
want this system does not disturbing the original scripts from opensrs...Or
if OpenSRS has this scripts and they may us have it..please let me know..so
i do not need to think again!
Thanks

Best Regards,
