Hi,
Keep up the good work guys! I had a few items on the wish list:
1. A way to generate automated reports that tell me when a domain I am
managing is about to expire. One of my pet peeves with NetSol is the lack
of this report. I can't tell you how many clients have been pi*#@ed off
at us because their domains were suspended (or in a few cases, even
de-registered and re-registered by someone else!) because they expired
with NetSol because they did not get the invoice, changed their address,
email or whatever. Our clients squarely blame us every time for this,
they do not understand that NetSol controls this aspect. Ideally I would
like to be able to run this report maybe once a day or once a week. This
is my number #1, top of the list, request. If you ignore everything else,
please please implement this, I would be forever grateful. This would
help me and my clients.
2. A way to list recently expired domain names so others can register
them. I have seen some other registrars (including verio's registrar)
offer this and this is a very nice feature to have if at all possible.
(kind of goes against my #1 requst doesn't it? oh well ...)
3. A way to list "close matches" when the domain they are checking for
turns up "taken" so they can try some others. Many registrars are
offering this too.
The e-commerce side needs some work:
4. Hooks into CyberCash and AuthorizNet (any others?) for automated
online credit card transactions.
5. A way to allow users to register multiple domain names at once and the
payment is totaled at the end, rather than making them pay for each domain
one at a time. The CGI should have a way of allowing each reseller to
specify their own price sheet e.g. via the config file.
6. Notification emails must *NEVER* carry credit card numbers in
plaintext as they currently do. Notification emails must always be
encrypted. PGP is probably the easiest choice (gpg) but any secure
encryption will work for me as long as I am provided with a mechanism to
readily decrypt the email.
That's it for now!
best regards
Mike Salim
