Hey, thats my environment too. Certainly, its a bit more work than perl or php. The direct support for transactions, etc is the best thing going for it. We're actually using webmacro instead of JSP though.
I basically just want to avoid having one section done completely differently than the rest of the site.

Why exactly do you need to do that with Java??
Right now we are developing an online airline reservation system
and we chosen Java,JSP,Oracle and WebLogic and believe
me now I am not sure that was the best option :)))

I also thought about writing a simple daemon that used the library, I could open a socket from my servlets and talk to this little daemon that would relay messages to the server. So, this is a bit of noodling about.. I'm very interested in folks' opinions on this subject. --noah
