Misc. Questions about development

As I've been studying the scripts I've come up with a few questions I was
hoping someone could answer.

1) In the "OpenSRS.Conf" file - there is a variable "crypt_type" which is
(by default) 'DES'. In the file "OpenSRS.pm" there is a function called
"Login" which has this statement:
  eval {
        require "Crypt/$crypt_type.pm";
    };

It would appear that it expects a file "DES.pm" in the crypt directory….I
don't see that file. Can someone explain if there is something I need that I
don't have? Or am I misunderstanding the statement?

2) I haven't actually signed up yet (I'm still doing evaluation), but I
noticed some postings in the mailing list where people asked about "who can
host my OpenSRS site". I need a company that can host my OpenSRS site,
handles coldfusion, and has MS SQL 7.0. Any suggestions?

3) I have some general questions about domain name registrations, and
terminology. What is domain parking?

4) I noticed in the FAQ that if someone looses their username/password that
it can be mailed to them. Is it also possible for me (the reseller) to
change the password for them? or is email the only option?

5) can a user manage his account at any OpenSRS site?

6) If it's time for renewal of an account, does the "owner" have to do it
through the "managing" company i.e. my site if it was originally set up by
me? Or just any open SRS site?

If he wants to renew at another registration company does he first have to
"transfter" to that company? Thus the need for transferring 2 weeks before
experation?

If a site is registered through me and I go out of business, must the
domains be transferred in order to be managed?

Thanks
Shane
