Yes I have done multiple installs on the vserver sites and have never had a problem. If you want to send me mail offlist with specific questions I can try and answer them.

Hello Juliann,
I installed latest version of XML::Parser (ver. 2.29) on my vservers host with no problems. I have no root access. Try the following commands after downloading XML::Parser
perl Makefile.PL PREFIX=/usr/home/your_user_name/usr/local
make
make test
make install
Those are the standard commands, except the PREFIX which does the trick. I took me a lot of time to figure this out, too. Please let me know if it worked for you, or need more help.
Regards,

The latest version of XML::Parser is 2.29. I cannot get an older version for download form http://search.cpan.org/ , but I was told by the author and by opensrs support that this version works on other server configurations. They think the problem is with the vservers configuration itself. If anyone knows where to get a copy of the older version, or has dealt with this problem with vservers I would apperciate a nudge in the right direction.
