PHP Development

Hello,

I am currently developing a PHP based client for the OpenSRS system, because frankly I hate Perl and think it would be nice to have a PHP client available.

I've gotten about half way, to the point of Authenticate with the server and sending back an encrypted md5 checksum of the challenge bits.

Well, for some reason I cannot get the mcrypt functions in PHP (DES Encryption, CBC mode) to produce the same results as the Perl CBC module. Does anyone know if the written Perl module is not standard, or am I doing something wrong? Anyone with some experience with the encryption section of the Perl client would be of great help to me right now! I've never done any encryption work before, but I do have a good head on my shoulders (er, or a solid one at least ;) )

So anyways, I've gotten to the authentication point of the client, and basically once I've finished that I guess it's all easy sailing.

Anyone have any help or input?

Thanks!
