transfer from DomainsDirect to reseller

I have a client who has several domains registered with Domainsdirect and he wants to transfer them to us. Is that possible?

I know that it is possible to renew a domain registered with another reseller through a different resellers scripts. When the
renewal is done that way, does it then transfer the reseller of the domain aswell?
