Joe,

One of the beauties of OpenSource is that you can do pretty much what you
want with the code.

What is stopping you from taking the opensrs-sf code base, applying your
patches, and starting another SF project? Then just post updates on your
progress to the dev list.

The fact that OpenSRS has a published API spec, plus the fact that you
already seem to know a fair amount about the existing Perl code, should make
this a pretty easy task.

Just a thought ... and my last comment on this subject. I use PHP anyway.
