Ok, I'll fess up,

1) I already downloaded Active Perl
2) I installed Active Perl
3) I'm running Windows 98 FE
4) Active Perl no-workee without IIS, thus
5) OpenSRS default client no workee since Active Perl
no-workee. This of course assumes I even know how to
install the default client -- The Default Client
installation docs made my eyes glaze over with all the 3rd
party stuff I need to install before the default client
can be expected to work .....

I've been programming micro compunters since I purchased a
TRS-80 back in 1976. I'm gone though this kind of hell too
many times to want to even remember them all. I busted my
butt trying to solve this OpenSRS issue myself. At this
point I've spent so much time that I stubbernly refused to
persue the "install x and hack y" option any further. I'm
sure you can relate.

Somebody out there must have gone through this
implementational hell that I'm going though. I just need
some luck to find them ...

Thanks!

Charles
