There is a disagreement about whether there would in fact be a benefit.
Some people have said they think it will; some people have said they
think it won't. That sounds like a good place to leave it until further
evidence emerges.
Also, I know this sounds petty, but because the discussion is probably
well past the point where it's annoying others, I sent the last three
messages to you off-list. However, you're posting your replies to the
whole list, with parts of my original messages snipped out. This is a
little one-sided, and makes it hard for me to refrain from publicly
replying, like this. It would be more courteous if you'd reply to private
messages in private, to avoid bothering people who are not interested in
the fact that we continue to disagree. Thanks!
