Some ideas:
- The mostly discussed UNIX "diff" did not work for me (esp. for files over
100 MB in size).
- I tried to write up something in Perl, but it's not 100% functional yet.
Also it requires the two zone files to have the domains in the same order.
With a small awk and uniq script, you can at least extract a list of the
domain names.
Does anyone know how the order of domains in the zone files is made up?
Unfortunately new domains do not seem to be appended at the end or
beginning. And sorting such a huge file (e.g. using UNIX "sort") does not
work either with regular resources.
