Why not domains for $2 or maybe FREE

Dear Mr. Harish and All OpenSRS friends,

This is really sad to see someone behave in such a childish way. Possibly
Mr. Harish does not understand what internet is all about. Some guys like
Harish makes we *Indians* feel bad and unreliable all the way around the
world.

Do you think you can earn only by bringing down the purchase cost by $1 or
$2 ? Dont you have any value to add to your services. The game here is that
OpenSRS gets the domain for $6 or so and sell it for a profit of $4 to all
of us. They deserve the profits (even if they are 100% commercial), since
they innovated the idea. You are again trying to do the same stuff and make
a fool of yourself. Internet is all about bringing new things and making
money out of it, and not copying others and cutting prices all the way with
degraded services. And when you guys think about OpenSRS profits, dont you
see that Mr. Harish also have the same desire in his belly.

Why dont we all stick to OpenSRS who is providing such a fantastic service
and have a open mind to take our suggestions for making the system better
and better (which they have always done). If prices need to be cut down, we
all can bargain with OpenSRS to do the same and i am sure if it is rational,
we will get the cut again. OpenSRS is also run by people who have business
sense (Am i right Scott ? ;)).

Again if you are so desperate to get the prices lower, why dont you go to
Bulkregister.com or even go to ICANN and get approved to fulfill your
desire. Anyways if you are totally tagretting your business to be based on
Domain registration, what would you do if someone comes up with a crazy idea
and makes domain a free stuff ? (leave it on him the ways he can make his
money)

Now about some guys who are suggesting that we can get our rules and even
hold the domains to our names if customer does not pays. GREAT. I think the
business sense has gone for a complete toss. Do you think such a
'freeminded' system can ever last. Here decisions are taken keeping in mind
technical assistance, service and a sort of democratic way.

Instead OpenSRS must make some of its issues sort of democratic and work on
votes of its RSP's (maybe possible).

And someone here mentioned that Email accounts in India are not reliable and
that is the reason people uses free email accounts. Please give some
rational excuse. You are using a server which is possibly located in USA for
your email service. And anyways the email system is not bad at all in India
that you need to use a free email account to get ALL your mails.

Lets not beat up the head on such stupid price saving techniques and do
something fruitful which makes life better (atleast on this list).

I am sorry if i was too harsh on this topic, but i ought to be, being a
faithfull OpenSRS reseller.

Regard's
