What is really bad is they shut down the maintenance system, so clients
can't even change their contact records which are only maintained in the
OpenSRS system.

Note also that OpenSRS will be 'taken offline' for the whole 12 hours. If
NSI finishes their maintenance in six hours and make the system live again,
OpenSRS will still be dead for another six hours.

My final comment is why in the world does NSI need to do maintenance for 12
hours? What in the world could they be doing that takes that long?
