Re: "." before the "@"

I have a client that transfered his site to one of my unix servers, he had
an email address that he used for about 3 years. his email address
was something like tom&betty@whatever.com . When he moved
his site over and tried to create the POP acount, my server gave him
an error and told him that the & symbol was not a valid symbol and
could not be used. So I had to go into the sendmail.cf file and tell it
to execpt the & symbol as a legal symbol. Now that client is a reseller
and has over 25 sites on that server because I did that for him.
I beleive that if the internet will allow it, use it. If someone wants
there dot in an email address, give it to them. Or we can all become like
AOL users that use the email address 6649932kgit instead :) I would
rather
support a dot in an email address than some of these AOL users that
dont put the @aol.com on the end of the address.

My two cents
Randall
