Let me assume you are referring to something you found in Network Solutions
Registrar's WHOIS database. Next, I will say it again, DO NOT rely on
Network Solutions Registrar's WHOIS database to be authoritive, accurate, up
to date, or anything else. I can point out several domain names that have
not been paid for, are not going to be paid for, the registrant has asked
that they be deleted *and* Network Solutions Registrar WHOIS shows them with
an expiration date in 2001.
If a domain is listed in the *registry* (please remember the registry and
any specific registrar are two separate entities--once again, a registrar's
WHOIS contact database does not reflect the status of domain availability)
it is currently taken and you cannot register it. No matter what someone's
WHOIS data may say.
P.S. Please don't send HTML/rich-text formatted e-mail to mailing lists.
Thanks.
