This is how ICANN designed it folks. Each registrar must supply their own
whois database of domain contacts. The NSI Registry whois (referred to
above as the whois that 99.99% of the net word is familiar with) only
provides the domain name, registrar of record and the name servers for the
domain. The NSI Registry whois (i.e. whois.nsiregistry.net or
whois.internic.net) does not maintain contact information for domain names.
