If the domain is still active, it is not about to be released. At least it
shouldn't be, but who knows what NSI is up to these days.
I have seen this happen recently in a change of registrar TO NSI.
Apparently it can take several weeks from the time NSI becomes the registrar
of record (according to the registry WHOIS) until the domain shows up in
NSI's registrar database (according to the NSI WHOIS). I was SURE NSI was
about to lose the domain, but it finally showed up.
