Exactly, and the landlord would have to follow strict guidelines to enable
the eviction to go through legally, which in most countries includes a
period of grace where the bill could be paid and arrangements made for the
eviction to not be carried out. If everyone who was a little late in paying
their rent were evicted we would have much higher homeless rates than we do
now.

If we consider domains to be just as valuable (which from reports of some
sales they are), then we also need just as strict guidelines for the control
of delinquent accounts with them as we have for rents/evictions in most
countries. This would include a grace period for the resolution of payment
disputes including but not limited to the non-payment of amounts owing.

We have to remember that this is dealing with the general public in a lot of
situations here and human beings do not always behave in ways that are
logical, methodical or even in their best interests. They need protecting.

Have I gone into arrears? Hells yes, I think we all have at some point. If I was late with my rent and got evicted for it, I don't think I'd have the right to expect that my landlord give me my old apt. back when he had someone standing there with cash in their hands wanting to rent it from him.
