It's not NSI/Verisign that wants this. They want to keep .com, and
.org and .net are being sacrificed to do that.

This is ICANN that wants to do the change in policy, I would bet,
based on history, that their IP interest puppet masters have a strong
hand in this proposed policy change being considered seriously.
