Neither of those domains has been registered, only ordered
(they're both in a Pending state). If you were you try
to complete both orders, one of them would fail because,
indeed, it *IS* simply not possible to register a given
domain more than once.
Nobody said you can't ORDER a domain more than once.
Intermittent problems can and do lead to situations where
clients place multiple orders for the same domain, believing
that the first didn't go through or because the web session
got muddled up.
Note that your account is not debited for the domain until
you try to register it, and then only when it's successful.

Eric Longman

No, that's incorrect. I've had this happen before and you had to credit
our account because of it. Don't tell me something is 'simply not
possible' when it clearly IS. Anything is possible when you're having
problems.
Following your suggestion, here you go!
ID Domain Encoding type Type Status Ordered by Affiliate ID Order Date Cost
3556413 wittandsons.com New Domain Pending wittnsons@adelphia.net 07/03/01
06:35:40 AM $10.00
3556470 wittandsons.com New Domain Pending wittnsons@adelphia.net 07/03/01
06:48:35 AM $10.00
Total cost: $20.00
What is that? A figment of my imagination?
This is an excruciatingly unacceptable answer and I'd really like to know
who this is.
