Hmmmm... I can see this as being discriminatory to all those natives
(and potentially others I suppose) who only have one name!

Come see my website at www.nanook.name or www.sting.name or what about
www.theartist.name? (browsers going to
www.theartistformerlyknownasprince.name will automatically be redirected
to this site!) Perhaps there'll be some sort of arbitration board
assuring that a person has a single name only? (They'd have to forgo
the rights to any 3rd level domain starting with a legitimate first name
of course! :) Perhaps homeless people could garner a new revenue stream
by having others pay for a legal name change to the desired single name
to act as surrogate registrants for desirable .name websites!

I hope the folks responsible for rulings on .name applications have good
lawyers. :)

Seriously though, if William is suggesting a informal poll on this, I
would vote for us being able to offer it to our clients who wanted it
solely as a means of keeping them in our camp (and not going elsewhere
that offers other more mainstream domains as well). I doubt it will be
a money maker. Who knows? I could be wrong.

"What's in a .name? Depends if you're buying, selling or just a user."
"That's my .name... don't ware (sic) it out!"
