Dont look now, but they already do. Well. Not through the API, but a proxy
nonetheless. Their Whois server is recursive. Any external lookups it does
would theoretically originate from its non-encumbered IP block.
I doubt that youd be able to build a useful whois client into the API simply
because the amount and type of information various registrars give out is
often completely different from registrar to registrar.
Correct me if im wrong on this one.
