MessageHi Mike,

Two things here, the $29 is a "limited time offer" on network solutions
site, so just as OpenSRS had a sale on .cc's, now apparently NSI has one.
Secondly, Verisign bought enic, the .cc registry
(http://www.newsbytes.com/news/01/173085.html) so it's a lot easier to
undercut everyone once you own the actual registry :)

Customer service always wins in the end.

Joey.

The company is Verisign. Do they do that? If they do I haven't heard
about it yet ;) Their site is still showing that the .cc domain is $29.00
and I hate to loose a sale to them.

There is at least one registrar out there selling .cc for below our
cost, and then charging $50 for renewals or transfers. You might want to
verify that the registrar your client is looking at is not playing this type
of game.

There are registrars and resellers selling almost every domain at less
than our wholesale costs though. If you believe you have to compete only on
price, you'll lose.

I regularly get people asking me to sell them .com domains for $9. Yeah,
right.
