The .biz registry has unwisely chosen *not* to allow registrar transfers
claiming the current system for registrar transfers is not acceptable and
that registrars and end users are uneducated. Personally I believe this
is an infringement on the rights of .biz registrants to choose who they
wish to do business with. We have a customer in this very situation.
They want to transfer their domains to us because they don't like their
current registrar and are not getting the level of service they need.
Neulevel (the .biz registry) will not allow them to transfer the domains.
The letter to registrars from Neulevel about their poor policy is
available at: http://opensrs.org/dotbiz_transfer.shtml
I would suggest that all of us, as RSP's and .biz domain registrants
contact Neulevel and ICANN and express our displeasure with their current
policy of not allowing registrars transfers. Not only does this restrict
a registrants rights, it also inhibits our ability to do business.
Some contact addresses:
support@neulevel.biz
icann@icann.org
comments@icann.org
I would also suggest submitting your complaint via the "registrar
complaint form" ans suggest that they add a registry complaint form...
