It is VERY IMPORTANT that you report these to the U.S. Postal Service. If
nobody reports them, nothing will be done to stop the fraud. On the other
hand, the more legitimate complaints the U.S. Postal service receives, the
better the chance of prosecution.

Here is an excerpt from a message we sent to our customers a few weeks
ago:

  These to be deceptive solicitations that appear to violate
  U.S. Postal Regulations (see http://pe.usps.gov/text/dmm/c031.htm).

  Residents of other countries should check with their local postal
  service for possible similar regulations.

  If you are a U.S. resident and receive one of these notices, we would
  highly advise you to file an official complaint with the United States
  Postal Inspection Service at
