They can't legally close (delete) a domain without a signed, written
request to do so from the domain owner or the admin-contact. It could
be that the ISP was the admin-contact, though, especially if your customer
is not located here in Germany. The admin-c has to be in Germany.
But in any case, we have hundreds of .de domains registered for people
outside of Germany. Contact me for pricing, etc.
