Yes. 30 Calendar Days after entering the SUSP state dot-CA domains are
typically moved to the TBR state. There have been known exceptions to this
rule but they are rare and normally involve some legal issue.

Unlike CNO when a domain name is moved to TBR is cannot be renewed by the
original registrant or registrar. You must make a TBR registration request
to get it when it is released or wait until it moves from TBR to AVAIL.

A very important thing to watch out for by the way is this situation:

You have abc.on.ca
Someone else has abc.bc.ca

You let abc.on.ca lapse into SUSPEND mode.

30 days later it will get put back in the pool? Yes and No.

abc.on.ca is made available for registration but since abc.bc.ca exists it
will not go to TBR. It will go to UNAVAILABLE and a party will need to
request permission from abc.bc.ca

cheers,
