Hi all,
Can anybody explain to me why the Allwhois service
(http://www.allwhois.com) returns the following message for all of our
OpenSRS-registered domains?
"NOTE: THE WHOIS DATABASE IS A CONTACT DATABASE ONLY. LACK OF A DOMAIN
RECORD DOES NOT SIGNIFY DOMAIN AVAILABILITY."
No other information is returned. No contacts. No name servers. This
is particularly troublesome for us as we have written several agents
that use the Allwhois service for determining domain name registration
and configuration status for domains used by our hosting customers.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
