The WHOIS contact for the domain that our wildcard SSL cert is based on
received a similar message, except its for their wildcard SSL cert. I
didn't know that anyone other than Thawte offered wildcard certs.

Now we have to decide if we want to renew at Thawte (i.e. give Verisign
business) or get a new cert from spammers... Which one is the lesser of
two evils?

Dear #,

Your Thawte SSL wildcard Certificate protecting *.# will
expire on 02-AUG-02 - that's now in only 30 days!

Before renewing your wildcard Certificate with your current provider
consider PremiumSSL Wildcard Certificate - available at only $449 through
InstantSSL.com, the new driving force in fast, cost-effective SSL
Certificates.

Why pay extortionate amounts to renew your Thawte wildcard Certificate
when you can renew through InstantSSL.com for only $449?
