Nothing here is a promise, but for a gist...
There are actually some affiliate_id enhancements under way...
basically it will allow you to associate affiliates with all
transactions (new, transfer, renew - instead of just the "reg
system order"), alter the affiliate tag on an existing domain
(rather, maintain the tag; currently the tag is only associated
with the original order), and even some minor messaging bits
(signature/tagline customizable per affiliates).
More details forthcoming as the project gets fleshed out better
and launched
