Whois Server problem ??

What's up ?? Might be part of the same problem.

I've been getting unable to connect to a verisign server:

# nwhois rameymachine.com
whois 1.4a by Bill Weinman <http://bw.org/>
connecting to whois.internic.net [198.41.0.6] ...
connecting to whois.opensrs.net [216.40.33.170] ...
Registrar: whois.opensrs.net
 Unable to connect to whois.verisign-grs.com

and now this:

Connection refused: exceeded maximum connection limit from XXXX

XXX is the IP of my dsl, which has done not more then 3-4 whois queries
in the last hour.
