Hi Bernd Hilmar,
If someone registers a domain that is already taken, OpenSRS
pre-registration won’t know until NeuStar’s Registry Gateway opens up. Once
the gateway opens, a lookup will occur, saving all failed requests. If you
want to ensure that name is not currently taken you would have to do a
lookup with CNNIC.
Thanks,

Subject: .CN availability lookup
Hello,
I have a question about the domain availability lookop
for .CN domains.
If I lookup a domain name I get this result:
"No Registry Agents to service domain: [xxxx.com.cn] (Supplier
Unavailable)"
I understand this, because the registry is not live yet.
But what happens if anybody likes to pre-register a domain name,
which one is already taken?
Because the CNNIC has already names, registered by chinese.
Did I do something wrong with the lookup,
or do I have to do lookup the availability by doing a whois
request in the meantime till the registry is live?
