Hello everyone,
Thanks for the feedback so far; I really appreciate
the helpful information. I am still researching my
options and I will post more information/questions
soon.
I do agree that domain registration is crucial to any
ISP or webhosting provider, if they want to round out
their valued-added services. I also think that it is
important to have a registration interface that offers
many gTLDs and ccTLDs. I am really keen on the future
of ccTLDs for a couple of reasons. For one, the
standard gTLDs really don’t have many premium choices
available and the average consumer really isn’t
interested in paying an exorbitant amount to a
speculator for a good name. Another reason is that
ICANN (in my opinion) is not making very wise or
favorable gTLD decisions (like .aero or .museum). I
get allot of requests from clients for ccTLDs like
.ws, .cn, and .hm to name a few. Whatever option I
pick must give me the ability to offer many
registration choices to my diverse customers.
If anyone else has information, suggestions or advice
they would like to share, I would be happy to receive
it. I am really glad this group exists.
Once again, thanks.
Mark
