I'm trying to do this off of memory, so it might not be 100% correct, but it
should be close.
Sign into GoDaddy's control panel.
When he goes into the manage domains screen, click on the domain he's wanting
to transfer.
On the next screen, there should be some sort of hyperlink towards the top
about transfers, click on that, then click on pending transfers. Then choose
to authorize it.
GoDaddy should of also sent him an email explaining how to do this also.
