It does, since it

(there are NO other paying services, and the other small services
that exist are not the cause of the 400000 domain names being
handled, me think)
Again, I can not speak for the future, but in the past/current there
is truely at least one Registrar living only on its benefits coming
from domain name registrations, and nothing else.
It may sound strange and impossible, but it is fact.
