I recall discussion of them in early 2002 in which I think someone on
this list asked for help with srsplus automation, and Chuck called it
"tacky". Ah, how I miss Chuck.... ;)
There was probably discussion before that which I do not recall. I
think srsplus is now owned by Verisign through multiple buyouts -- that
is, they were bought by somebody who was bought by somebody ...

Not a chance. If it costs me an extra $2.50 per year to avoid Verisign,
you won't have to ask me twice. The only way I would use srsplus is if
I had an annoying fecal agitator (we've all had them) who I figured
would have a short shelf life on my servers. (If I can *cost* Verisign
money without causing problems for myself or Tucows, I'm all for it.)
Unless I was handling tens of thousands of domains ... in which case
Tucows would probably give me a discount anyway.
