We have the same problem with an .org transfer from "Verio Domain
Services", a reseller for MelbourneIT.
Here's what they told our customer:
-----
In regards to your problem, you sohuld be albe to submit a registrar
transfer with the new registrar without inputing an auth code.
A registrar using the auth code system is able to transfer a domain name
from a non auth code operating system registrar without the need of the
code as it is automatically obtained.
Melbourne IT is our registrar. If you encounter problems, please contact
your new registrar and advise them that you are transferring from the
registrar: Melbourne IT, which does not use auth codes.

However, this doesn't match what we've been told by OpenSRS, as far as I
can tell. Can anyone at OpenSRS clarify?
