Hey Folks,
I'm having some problems getting name resolution working with my .org
domain. Previously I didn't have my new nameserver pushed out to all the
registries, so I couldn't add it as a valid nameserver in the manage.cgi
interface. However, I figure out how to do that, and everything seemed to
work ok.
Now I'm trying to add said nameserver to my domain record, albeit with no
success. Here's the scoop:
whois sanmanagers.org@whois.geektools.com
Name Server:ANUBIS.DATABRIDGE.NET
And /var/named/f.sanmanagers.org:
@ IN SOA anubis.databridge.net. hostmaster.databridge.net. (
@ NS anubis.databridge.net.
But:
dig @TLD1.ULTRADNS.NET SOA sanmanagers.org
;; QUESTION SECTION:
;sanmanagers.org. IN SOA
;; AUTHORITY SECTION:
SANMANAGERS.ORG. 172800 IN NS ATLANTIS.LIMBO.NET.
ATLANTIS is the old nameserver. ANUBIS is the new one.
I thought about the whole "up to 24 hours" deal, but I made the initial
change last week, then another change about 72 hours ago. Why is UltraDNS
not making the change? What am I doing wrong?
PS, I know it's bad to only have 1 nameserver.
