Even more helpful would be a combination Whois/Domain
availability check (given that Whois is not a reliable indicator
of domain availability).
BTW, nearly all other registeration systems have you enter the
domain to be registered first, checks availability, and only then
prompts you for the full registeration details. IMHO this is a
better work-flow.
