I don't know how this will work using OpenSRS - but if you were a Nominet Tag holder it would work something like this:

1. You supply your customer with a reference number

2. They visit: http://www.nominet.org.uk/MakingChangesToYourDomainName/ChangingYourRegistrationAgentisp/ChangingYourRegistrationAgentisp.html and complete the "re-tag a detagged domain name" process, using the reference number you supplied and making sure to input your Nominet IPS tag (which in this case would be the OpenSRS tag I guess?). During the process they'll be asked if they wish to renew direct with Nominet (£80) or with an agent (£15) - they must select the agent option. Rather confusingly they get asked this after they have put in the tag details! The £15 fee is paid then and there direct to Nominet - it is nothing to do with your charges. After payment the customer has to print a PDF and fax it to Nominet.

3. Nominet will validate the whole application and if successful they will carry out the transfer.

Some points to bear in mind:

The domain is suspended, pending deletion - they must move VERY quickly.
Your customer must be the legal registrant of the domain name in question, otherwise Nominet will not take instructions from them.

I suggest you contact OpenSRS support and confirm the above.

Cheers,

Marc
