John,

These emails go out to UK domains registrant where they are on the Tucows
Tag and not associated with a reseller. Please send me the domain in
question off-list so that I can further investigate what happened.

Thanks,

James

Subject: uk domain renewals

A customer claims that he received the following email from Tucows:

First, what is this? Why is Tucows sending email directly to our users?

Second, the domain in question was renewed 02-Jul-2003 and according to
Tucows is valid through 9/27/2005.

Why is Tucows sending this type of email to our user??? This is very
embarrassing to us and not at all what we would expect you to do in the case
of a domain that has already been renewed.
